【English Show@Colorful Guizhou: Culture of My Hometown—Renhuai 】

Hello, my name is Ren Huan, an English major from School of Foreign Languages, Guizhou Institute of technology.It is my greatest honour to introduce you my hometown, Renhuai City, Guizhou Province, a great place filled with loads of my childhood’s memories.

Renhuai city is well known for Maotai liquor; however, most people don’t actually know Renhuai city very well. I’d like to present you for more information next: its situation, means of transportation used to get to Renhuai, its tourist attractions and Maotai liquor.

From the time being, I’d actually give you a brief account of where Renhuai city is located. Renhuai city as we well know is situated in the northwest Guizhou Province.

Next I’m going to talk about commonly used means of transportation to land in Renhuai city. There are two situations in place where people living locally in Guizhou Province or out of Guizhou Province choose his/her means of transportation to visit Renhuai city. For people living locally in Guizhou Province, they had their tendency to go to Renhuai either by bus or by private car whereas people out of Guizhou Province do preferaeroplane to private car or bus anyway when he/she is expecting his/her visit to Renhuai city.

The following part is an introduction to Maotai town and Maotai liquor. I’d briefly describe Maotai town first of all. Surrounded by Chishui River northward, Maotai town is situated in the west Renhuai city, Guizhou Province. What’s more, Maotai town enjoys its reputation for its long history and attractive night view. There are loads of reasons why night view in Maotai town usually captures the eyes of local or non-local tourists that they enjoy its spectacular night view on the street while taking snaps to record every special but unmemorable moment of journey and life.

Maotai liquor is another thing I think it quite vital to discuss for more details. Maotai liquor is characterized by its outstanding Maotai aroma and its special style comes from the unique traditional brewing technology formed year by year. I won’t actually tell you more information about the production process of Maotai liquor step by step due to its complexity. On 20 May 2006, Maotai Wine Brewing Technology was approved by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. That’s what Renhuai city is known as the wine capital of China. Many people are still willing to accept its unaffordable price although Maotai is least inexpensive.

My summary in the last part is followed by my brief review of Renhuai city itself. The charming scenery of Renhuai city is overwhelming its lavish Maotai liquor in Maotai town.
